- Story content — interview answers, generated narratives, photos, and audio you upload.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser metadata.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service: hosting your stories, generating AI narratives, and exporting documents.
- To improve reliability, security, and product quality.
- To communicate with you about your account and important updates.
AI Processing
To generate narratives and follow-up questions, your interview content is sent to third-party AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI) under their respective data-processing terms. We do not authorize these providers to use your content to train their models.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Service (hosting, AI processing, payments, analytics) under appropriate confidentiality terms, or when required by law.
Data Retention
We retain your account and story content for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual stories or your entire account at any time. Backups may persist for up to 30 days after deletion.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@authorcommand.ai.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your stories.
